Our Principal
As a proud graduate of Lakeside Elementary and the Wayne Highlands School District, I am proud to serve the school and community that shaped my educational journey. After earning my degree from Misericordia University, I began teaching in Virginia Beach Public Schools, where I worked as a 4th and 5th-grade special education teacher. Although I loved my time teaching in Virginia, I always felt a pull to return home.
That opportunity came when I joined Honesdale High School as a learning support teacher. I was fortunate to teach, coach, and serve as a class advisor during my time there.
My passion for education and leadership led me to pursue administrative roles. I began as the Assistant Special Education Director and later returned to Honesdale High School as the Assistant Principal. These positions allowed me to gain invaluable experience in fostering student success, supporting diverse learning needs, and continuously improving the educational experience in the Wayne Highlands School District.
As the principal of Lakeside Elementary, I am excited to lead the school that played a pivotal role in my upbringing. My focus as principal is on academic excellence, character development, and fostering strong connections with our students. I am dedicated to creating a nurturing and supportive environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive.
