Mrs. Ahern's Class Celebrate Earth Day

Mrs. Ahern's classroom put their creativity to the test when they designed their Recycled Robots to celebrate Earth Day on April 22. Cardboard boxes, tubes, plastic containers and caps were collected throughout the school year and then redistributed to the students a couple of weeks before the big day. The second graders had a choice of making their robots look like a person or an animal. Each student wrote up an information sheet that included the robot's name, items used to create it, and the answer to the question, "If your robot could do anything in the world for you, what would it do?" (Not surprisingly, many of the robots seem to be good at doing homework...)
